Objective: Design a functional table top object utilizing sheet metal.

Description: CUBE is a functional table top object crafted entirely from sheet metal, designed as an exploration of balance and counterbalance, as well as symmetry and asymmetry. Its unique, skewed cube form ensures that each face reveals a distinct visual character, inviting interaction and creating a dynamic play of light, shadow, and movement from every angle.

The design intentionally challenges conventional symmetry. While elements of balance are maintained, the deliberate skew introduces an element of surprise—each surface exhibits different textures and reflective qualities, transforming the piece into both a practical table top and a sculptural work of art. The interplay between the hardened, industrial sheet metal and the fluidity of its form speaks to the harmony between strength and elegance.
